There are currently NO kerbside recycling collections outside of Raglan past Greenslade Road. For residents beyond this point there are several recycling options available.
We currently have two sea freight containers set up to collect recycling in rural locations. One in Te Uku and one in Te Mata. These containers are for collection of paper, glass (bottles and jars), paper, cardboard, plastics no's 1,2,5, aluminium cans and tin (steel) cans only. The Te Uku container is also a permitted drop off point for prepaid rubbish bags The nearest prepaid rubbish bag collection point for Te Mata residents is at the end of the Te Mata Road ajoining SH23. Bags should only be left on Sun afternoons or Monday mornings. The Te uku container is serviced Mon, Weds and Fri. The Te Mata container is serviced Mon and Fri.
ILLEGAL DUMPING
Please note that there is a $500 fine for any person identified as dumping rubbish at these locations. All rubbish must be contained within a PREPAID bag.
