Xtreme Waste has a strong focus on education.

Xtreme Waste's education programme is supported by Waikato District Council and Environment Waikato. 

We provide education services FREE to all schools in the Waikato District and offer some services FREE to schools in other districts.  Our education staff can also assist with sourcing funding for specific projects.

FREE services can include; site tours of our community recycling centre, visits to schools to teach units, waste audits, assembly or syndicate presentations, support for setting up envirogroups and recycling initiatives and much more ...

Our Education Programmes:

  • Provide hands-on experiences and activities.
  • Teach by doing and seeing.
  • Are led by experienced staff - teachers and specialist staff.
  • Are supported by Waikato District Council and Environment Waikato.

Advice on setting up and maintaining recycling and waste minimisation systems i.e. worm farming and composts.

Assistance with writing environmental policies for schools.
